The shooting of our short film, 'Ribbons', is now complete!

Supermom trainees directed and acted |
Ribbons is a short film that follows a woman's life for five decades. We first meet her when she is ten years old and follow her right up until her 50th birthday party. She suffers through some hard times and we see how these events shape and change the course of her life. We also see how she comes through these experiences a better and stronger person, and how her life is constantly shifting and changing.
Ribbons is a mixture of normal, half speed and stop motion filming. It was filmed entirely at Media Zoo Studios in Belfast. The trainees from Belfast wrote the script, built their own set and were also responsible for locating the props and costumes that the film required. Several trainees took on the role of scene directors and directors' assistants, while others handled the scenery, props and costumes throughout the shoot. They are now involved in recording voice-overs and learning about sound editing, and will be learning more about the film editing process as it continues.
When the sound recording and editing is finished, we'll post behind-the-scenes footage to show you all how the trainees, trainer, and professionals worked together to create 'Ribbons'. In the meantime, enjoy these photos from the two-day shoot at Media Zoo!
